If you’re curious about the idea of adding a backyard escape to your property, don’t be shy: call me! Or send me an email, or click on the Contact button. I’m always happy to discuss ideas, no matter where you are on the “seriousness” scale. Most likely, you’re curious about what it might cost. If you can give me a good idea of size, location, and level of finish, chances are I’ll be able to give you a ballpark cost. If that ballpark seems reasonable for your budget, I’d love to see any sketches or photos you find online that exemplify the design you’ve imagined. If there is something from my portfolio here, simply copy and paste it into an email.
Sketches
I’m a visual person, so I like to draw out ideas based on our conversation. Sometimes clients are open to a range of ideas, in which case I’ll send a variety of quick sketches, in order to narrow down a design. Other times, clients are quite specific, so I’ll jump straight into a scaled architectural drawing like this:
Backyard Visit
Have me over! Together we’ll work out more of the practical details like size, location, access to your backyard, how we’d bring power from the house, etc.
Bid
At this point I should have all the information I’ll need to give you a bid. If you accept, then I’ll ask for a materials deposit in order to begin work. This can range from $2,500-10,000.
I Get to Work!
Usually, I can prefabricate a lot at my shop. I will then disassemble it, transport it to your location, and then spend 2-5 days onsite. assembling pre-fabricated parts, Rarely, I can drop off a completely assembled structure with my trailer.
Final Bill
After completing, I’ll mail you a final invoice for the remainder of your bill.
